Call A Restricted Phone Number

Call a Restricted Phone Number

Maybe someone keeps on calling your cell phone under a restricted number, but nobody answers when you pick up. Or maybe someone is stalking you, but their phone number shows up as restricted. People can block their phone numbers by dialing *67 before dialing your number. In general, you cannot call back a restricted phone number; however, there are several steps you can take to try to trace the person's identity.

Instructions

1. Write down the date and time of the call. When you receive your bill at the end of the month, check to see if it lists restricted numbers. Some providers will list these numbers on your bill beside the date and time of the call.

2. Block your phone from accepting calls from restricted numbers. Just press *77 to activate Anonymous Call Blocker (ACB). This will force any callers from a restricted number to provide their number in order to get through to you.

3. Ccall the police and request that they trace the number if someone is stalking you. In these extreme cases, they will be able to identify the caller for you. You may be required to pay for this service or to press charges against the caller.

4. Consider getting a toll-free number for your phone. With most toll-free providers, you will automatically be able to view the number of anyone who calls you. However, you will have to pay for all calls to your phone.
