Download Skype on Mobile
Downloading Skype onto your mobile phone enables you to reach all your Skype contacts without any gadgetry other than your cell phone. If you frequently make international or other long-distance calls, using Skype on your mobile can save lots of money. Your phone doesn't even need WiFi or 3G to make Skype calls.
Instructions
Skype Lite
1. Download Skype Lite for use with LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson phones. Go to Skype.com and enter "Download Skype Lite" in the search box. Click on the first link that should read, "Skype for mobile phones."
2. Read the fine print at the bottom of the page. If Skype Lite seems like it suits your needs, click the green "Download lite version now" button at the top of the page.
3. Enter your cell phone number in the box, and click "Send SMS." You will received a text message with instructions on install Skype on your cell phone.
Skype for iPhone and Second-Generation iPod Touch
4. Go to Skype.com and enter "Download Skype for iPhone" in the search box. Click on the first link that should read, "Skype for iPhone - find out more."
5. Click the "Get it now" button. A box will appear requesting to launch iTunes. Click "Okay."
6. Click the "Get App" button in iTunes. You will be asked to sign into the iTunes store. If you do not already have an iTunes Store account, you can create one here. When you're done entering your username and password, click "Get."
7. Check the box (If prompted) indicating that you agree to the terms of use. Click "Continue." The Skype application will download quickly and can be found by clicking on "Applications" beneath the Library menu in the iTunes window.
8. Connect your iPhone to your computer. From the iTunes, press "Control-click" (for Mac) or right-click on your iPhone in the Devices menu. Click "Transfer Purchases" to sync Skype to your iPhone.
Skype for Windows Mobile
9. Go to Skype.com and type "Download Skype for Windows Mobile" in the search box. Click on the first link that should read "Skype 2.5 for Windows Mobile."
10. Click the green "Download to your PC" button. Click "Save File." Locate the .exe file and double-click it to run the installer. Follow the instructions on the installer. and click "Okay" when it is complete. Check your mobile phone and follow the instructions on the screen to install.
11. Click the link right below the green button to download directly to your Windows Mobile device. It reads, "Download it directly on your device.". Be sure the option to open the file after the download is checked. Click "Yes" and the installer screen will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the install.
