Instructions

My phone won't ring.

1. Ensure that your phone is turned on and that there is adequate signal strength. Try moving to a slightly different spot if signal strength is low.

2. Be sure that your phone is set to "Normal" or "General" and not "Flight," "Silent" or another setting which makes the ring silent.

3. If the headset is attached, try detaching the headset. This may make the phone only ring through the device and not the phone's speaker.

4. Charge the battery according to the user manual instructions.

5. Remove the battery, and return it to the phone. This may help to improve the connections between the electrical contacts.

6. If you have access to another battery and charger, try replacing the one in your phone to determine whether the problem is your phone, the battery or the charger.

7. Be sure your battery and charger is compatible with the Nokia 6085 phone.

8. Check that you are using the latest software for your phone. Note that the use of Bluetooth or other applications can drain the battery more quickly. Try disabling these to see if this makes a difference.

9. Substitute another battery if you have access to one to see if the problem arises from the phone, the battery or the charger. Every battery will eventually lose its ability to retain power. It may be time to replace the battery if your current one is older.
