Unlock A Cell Phone Key Pad

Unlocking the keypad on your cell phone is easy.

Most cell phone keypads automatically lock after a certain amount of inactive time. This helps prevents accidental dialing or pressing buttons when a phone is in a pocket or bouncing around in a purse. Unlocking a Nokia 6030 cell phone keypad is easy. Note that not all cell phones have an automatic lock feature for the keypad.

Instructions

1. Press the "Unlock" button on your cell phone. On the bottom of your phone's screen, you will see options for your menu and any other hot key you have programmed. In order to choose unlock, you will either touch the word "unlock" or press the button on the keypad that lines up with "unlock." You have to complete the next step in less than 3 seconds.

2. Press the "Star" button, which looks like an asterisk. Your keypad will unlock. You'll know your keypad is unlocked once it says "Unlocked" on the screen. If you don't see the unlocked prompt, then you didn't press the two buttons in time. Just start over and you'll get it.

3. Use your cell phone however you need to. Once you're done using the keypad, you can manually lock it. All you have to do to lock your keypad is do the same thing you did to unlock it. Press the "Lock" button (it will be in the same place the "Unlock" button was) and then press the star key.
