Make Free International Internet Calls
Technology and competition have made it easier than ever to talk to your friends and family in other countries without running up your phone bill. Using Internet technology can add new elements to your conversation as well. Depending on the program you select, you may be able to see the person you are talking to, type things you would not want to say out loud or send photos and files while you are talking--all things you could never do with a conventional land line.
Instructions
1. Find and select the instant messaging program of your choice. Yahoo, Skype, Windows Live Messenger and many other free programs allow you to call your contacts via voice over IP no matter where they live.
2. Download the program to your computer and set it up. Encourage your friend(s) to download the same program or a compatible program. Sign up for a free account if you don't already have one. If you have one, sign into your account.
3. Add friends and their contact information. Select the friend that you would like to call. Remember that they must have the same program or a compatible program and they must be logged into it when you call.
4. After you click on his or her name, a list of available actions comes up. Select "call phone number."
5. Wait for your friend to answer and enjoy your conversation!
