Register A Voip Account

A VoIP (voice over Internet protocol) service allows you to make and receive voice calls over the Internet, either for free or at costs far below traditional telephone services. There are several free services through which you can chat with friends and family from PC to PC at no cost.

Instructions

1. Sign up with Skype, one of the most well-known VoIP providers, as of 2010. It allows free PC-to-PC voice and video calls. Start the application, right-click on one of your chat buddies and select "Call" to begin a voice chat.

2. Download Google Talk. This service uses your Google account to connect you with your friends via VoIP calls or text chats. Open up a new chat with one of your friends and click the "Call" button at the top to begin a free VoIP call.

3. Install ooVoo, one of the best VoIP and video chat clients available, as of 2010. In addition to providing free PC-to-PC VoIP calls, it allows you to have up to six people participate in a video call. To start a voice chat with a friend, right-click on her name in your friends list and choose "Call."
