Unlock A Sony Ericsson T630 Free

Unlock your Sony Ericsson T630 and use a new network.

The Sony Ericsson T630 is a GSM-enabled cell phone, first released in 2003. Like other GSM phones, the Sony Ericsson T630 comes locked to its network, meaning that you can only use the service provided by the network from which you purchased the phone. Unlocking your phone for use on other networks can save you money while traveling abroad, because you can avoid long-distance and roaming fees. In addition, unlocking your phone can increase its resale value.

Instructions

1. Type "*#06#" into your phone's keypad to retrieve its IMEI number.

2. Contact your service provider's tech support department and request an unlock code. Be prepared to give your mobile number, email address and IMEI number (that you found in the previous step). If the representative asks for a reason for your request, tell her you plan on selling your phone or that you're traveling abroad.

3. Turn off your phone and remove its SIM card (located beneath the battery). Turn the phone back on without a SIM card in it.

4. Press the "Left" arrow key. Press the "*" button twice. Press the "Left" arrow key once more.

5. Enter the unlock code that you received in a previous step when your phone screen says "Personalize With MNC2." Your phone is now unlocked.
