Pair A Jabra Bluetooth Speakerphone To A New Phone

Just because you've purchased a brand new cell phone doesn't mean you have to lose the functionality of your Jabra Bluetooth speakerphone. Pairing the speakerphone with a new phone takes only a few minutes, so you can leave your buried pairing instructions in the drawer. You'll need to know comfortably navigate your cell phone in order to pair the device. Please consult your cell phone's online or paper documentation if you do not know access your menus.


Pairing Manually


Turn on your cell phone. Access your phone's menu. Locate and enter your "Settings," "Preferences" or "Options" sub-menu. Due to the range of cell phone manufacturers and their user interfaces, the exact process to reach your "Settings" menu and sub-menus will vary. Please access your cell phone's manual or online support if you are unsure of access your phone's settings.


Select "Bluetooth." If you have a BlackBerry, press the "BlackBerry" key on the phone. Turn on the Jabra Bluetooth speakerphone. Hold down the Jabra's multifunction button for a few seconds. The speakerphone will display a rapid, blue LED flash. If you have a BlackBerry, choose "Add Device," then select "Search." Otherwise, you should see a "Bluetooth Device" listed in your Bluetooth options. Your phone should display a "Bluetooth Device." Select your Jabra Bluetooth speakerphone, and opt to "Pair" the device, if your phone offers this option. By default, Jabra uses "0000" (without quotes) as a device's passkey. Enter the speakerphone's passkey, if necessary.


Close your menus and return to the main screen. You've now paired your Jabra Bluetooth speakerphone to a new phone.


Using the Pairing Simulator


Jabra offers a robust pairing simulator that matches compatible cell phones with Jabra products, including speakerphones. For explicit directions on pairing devices, access the Jabra pairing simulator listed in Resources. Choose your model type by name/number or visually, then select your cell phone brand and model.


Contact Your Provider


If you are still unable to successfully pair your Jabra Bluetooth speakerphone with your new phone, you may opt to contact your cell phone network provider. In-store representatives can assist you in pairing your phone with your speakerphone. You can also access online support and documentation or contact your provider's help line. Local independent wireless professionals who sell your cell phone type may also be able to assist you.
