Procedure For Tethering The Nokia N95 8g

If you need to access the Internet on your computer away from home, you can use your Nokia N95 8G as a modem. When you tether the phone, you can avoid the need to purchase additional equipment to get a connection. Depending on various factors including your location, the connection you establish is comparable to or faster than dial-up.


Subscription


Your mobile service plan must include "phone as a modem" to tether your Nokia N95 8G mobile phone to your computer. Contact your service provider to add the feature to your plan. Onscreen prompts will guide you through setting up your phone to work with the application. Connect your phone to the computer when prompted by the application.


Tethering


Nokia PC Suite offers one-touch access to the Internet for your N95 phone. After launching the application and connecting your phone, the main window of the application will display management options for your phone. Click the option to connect to the Internet through the application. The application will automatically use your phone to provide a connection for your computer. When connected, a status message will be displayed in the main window.
