Unlock Samsung J706 for Free
If you have a J706 cell phone that is locked to a particular network provider, but you do not wish to use services of that carrier anymore, you can unlock your phone and use it with a network provider of your choice. The code can easily be purchased, but getting one for free may be a little trickier.
Instructions
1. Find out the 15-digit IMEI code. You can find it under the phone's battery, right next to the bar code. Another way to find it out is by typing "*#06#" on the phone screen. Write this code down somewhere.
2. Contact you network provider's customer care department and request a SIM unlock code for your handheld device.
3. Provide the phone's IMEI number.
4. Explain to the company representative the reason for requesting this code. The concerned person will then assess whether you are eligible to obtain the code or not. For instance, T-Mobile will give the unlock code if you have had a minimum of 40 days of active postpaid service or 60 days of active prepaid service.
5. Wait for the network provider to email you the code. Usually, it takes a couple of business days for the code to reach you via email.
6. Start you Samsung J706 with an unaccepted SIM card and enter the unlock code when the phone asks for a password.
