Make Themes For N72 On A Pc

Nokia N72 is a Symbian smart phone that comes with various features, like a two- ega pixel camera, GPR support and Bluetooth and MP3 audio file support. The phone also supports downloadable themes from the Internet, and accepts custom themes made on Carbide, Nokia's theme creator tool.

Instructions

1. Download a compatible version of Carbide on the computer (see Resources). When you go to the website, select Nokia N72 from the list to download its compatible version. Save the installer file on the desktop.

2. Double-click the downloaded installer file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

3. Launch the application after it installs.

4. Start creating the theme by specifying an "idle background." The idle background is displayed when your N72 is in its idle mode. Click the "Choose File" button and upload an appropriate image. Since there will be items lying above the idle background, upload an image that naturally supports readability and doesn't contain overlapping elements.

5. Upload an image for the active background. The active background is the background for most of the applications, such as "Messages," "Applications" and "The Calendar."

6. Define a solid background for applications and popups. You might prefer selecting a color relevant to the theme for these applications and popups.

7. Specify an icon set from the templates. Icons are available in different styles and colors, and you can select those that go with your theme.

8. Add status bars and signals to the theme.

9. Click "Save" and save the file on the desktop.

10. Connect your Nokia N72 to the computer and transfer the theme to the "Themes" folder. You can then set it on the phone and enjoy your new theme.
