Nokia 6220 Classic Specifications

The 6220 classic is a 3G/2G cell phone manufactured by Nokia. The phone was announced in February 2008 and released in July 2008. Boasting a primary 5-megapixel camera and a secondary CIF camera, this phone allows users to take still pictures and record video. Other key features include GPS capability, Internet browsing, speaker phone, downloadable content and video calls.


Hardware


The display on the 6220 Classic is a 2.2-inch TFT-LCD with a maximum resolution of 240 by 320 pixels. For connectivity, the phone features Bluetooth 2.0 capability as well as a 2.5 mm AV connector. Transferring content is done via Micro USB cable, and charging occurs via a 2 millimeter DC jack. This phone includes 256 megabytes of flash memory, which can be increased to 8 gigabytes with an external microSD card. The 5-megapixel camera includes a Carl Zeiss auto-focusing lens with integrated flash, and the secondary CIF camera allows for video call and recording/playback at 30 frames per second VGA. The 2G networking capabilities include GSM 850/900/1800/1900, and the 3G capabilities include HSDPA 900/2100.


Software


Included on the 6220 classic is a music player that is capable of playing the following formats: MP3, AAC, ACC+, eACC+ and WMA. Using the phone, you can also tune into RDS FM radio. For applications the 6220 classic can utilize Java MIDP 2.0 applications/games, and the integrated GPS system can use Nokia Maps 2.0. Flight and demo mode come standard on the device, as well as a calendar, organizer with to-do list, and alarm clock. MP3/video and polyphonic ring tones are supported, and users can download certain themes such as animated wallpapers and screen savers for this device. The operating system for the 6620 classic is Symbian version 9, and the software platform used is the S60 third edition.


Battery


The G220 classic includes a Nokia BP-5M battery, which has a capacity for 900 mAh. Full charging time for this battery is approximately 68 minutes. Standby time is rated at 280 hours on WCDMA and up to 300 hours on GSM, while talk time is rated at two-and-a-half hours and five hours, respectively. The phone can continuously capture video for two hours and maintain a video call for slightly less time. Video and music playback are rated at five-and-a half and 13.5 hours respectively, and the phone can maintain GPS capability for four hours.
