Connect A Bluetooth Device On A Motorola Razr

Connecting a Bluetooth headset to a Motorola RAZR enables hands-free communications.


The Motorola RAZR is a multimedia mobile phone that is capable of pairing with various Bluetooth devices. Pairing the phone with a device establishes a secure connection that you can use to exchange data including pictures, music and ringtones. You can connect the RAZR to Bluetooth-capable headsets, computers and printers. You can also connect it to a personal digital assistant. After connecting a Bluetooth device to the RAZR you do not need to perform any additional programming for future use.


Instructions


1. Place the Bluetooth device in pairing mode. For example, if you are pairing a headset with the Motorola RAZR, you may need to hold down the "Answer" button until the LED light is solid to place it in pairing mode. Consult the documentation that came with the device if you're not sure put it in pairing mode.


2. Press the "Menu" key on the RAZR phone and select Settings/Tools.


3. Scroll down to Tools and press the "OK" key. Click "Bluetooth."


4. Click "Add New Device" and highlight the type of device you are pairing with the phone. If you are pairing a Bluetooth headset, highlight Hands Free. Press the "Continue" soft key. A list of devices within range will be displayed.


5. Highlight the Bluetooth device's name and press the "OK" key.


6. Enter the passkey for the Bluetooth device and press the "OK" key. The passkey may be found in the Bluetooth device's packaging. A message will be displayed to indicate the pairing was successful.
