Set Up An Unlocked E71 On At&T

Wireless cell phone providers try their best to offer compelling phones that their customers will like. Some people may be looking for a phone that the provider does not carry. Fortunately, these users can purchase unlocked phones. An unlocked phone can be used on multiple cell phone carriers under an existing service plan. The E71 is a smartphone developed by Nokia that can be used on the AT&T network. You can set up the E71 for use on AT&T in a few simple steps.


Instructions


1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the E71 phone. Press the release buttons that are on opposing sides of the bottom of the phone. Lift the battery cover off with your fingers and let go of the release buttons.


2. Remove the battery from the compartment. Insert the AT&T SIM card into the compartment using the SIM card slot at the top. Make sure the indented side of the SIM card goes in first (with the gold contacts facing downward). Replace the battery and its compartment door.


3. Press and hold the power key on the top of the phone until the device vibrates. When required, select your current country, as well as the correct time and date. Press up and down on the scroll key in the middle of the phone to adjust the time and date. When the correct time has been set, press the "Enter" key to save the changes and open the Welcome application.


4. Select the "Tutorial" option to learn properly operate the E71. After finished with the tutorial, choose the "Settings Wizard" option to adjust settings on the phone. Select "E-mail Setup" to add an email account to the phone. Choose the "Operator" settings to configure settings for multimedia messages and the Internet. After adjusting the settings, press the Home key on the left side of the Scroll key to exit settings and begin using the phone.
