Upgrade The Memory Card On A Nokia E71

Flash memory technology is advancing rapidly, and the memory cards available today are likely much larger than the one that you purchased when you originally obtained your Nokia E71 mobile phone. If you find that your Nokia E71 has insufficient free space to store all the music, pictures and other media that you would like it to, remove the original memory card and install a new one to expand your phone's storage capacity.

Instructions

1. Push the power button at the top of the Nokia E71. Highlight and select "Remove Memory Card" using the control pad on the front of the device.

2. Place your fingernail in the seam between the memory card cover and the body of the Nokia E71, and pull gently to open the cover. The cover is in the top-left corner of the device.

3. Push the outside edge of the original memory card until it clicks. Lift your finger away, and the memory card extends from the slot. Take the memory card out of the phone and place it in the packaging for your new memory card to avoid losing it.

4. Slide the new memory card into the empty slot so the metal contacts on the bottom of the card face the metal pins inside the memory card slot. Push the card gently until it clicks.

5. Swing the memory card cover closed, and push it until it is flush with the edge of the phone.
