Synchronize Jawbone Bluetooth

Use your Jawbone to make calls from a cell phone.

The Jawbone is a Bluetooth earpiece that allows users to wirelessly make and receive phone calls. You can synchronize the Jawbone with a cell phone, which will let you answer your phone from your Jawbone unit. A hands-free earpiece allows you to concentrate on other things, like driving, while you are talking on the phone. It only takes a minute to synchronize a Bluetooth earpiece with a cell phone.

Instructions

1. Plug in the AC adapter to the Jawbone Bluetooth earpiece and plug it into an outlet. Let it charge for 50 minutes.

2. Enable the "Bluetooth" feature on your cell phone and choose the "Search for New Devices" or "Add Devices" link. This tells the device to search for other nearby Bluetooth devices.

3. Place your cell phone within a few feet of the Jawbone. Hold down the two round buttons on the Jawbone earpiece for 2 seconds. These buttons are the "Talk" and "NoiseAssassin" buttons. The earpiece will now go into "pairing mode" with the cell phone.

4. Click on "Jawbone" on the pairings list of the cell phone or other device. This tells the phone to pair itself with the Jawbone.

5. Type in "0000" when your cell phone prompts you to enter the passcode. You can now make and receive calls using your Jawbone earpiece.
