You can unlock your Sharp GX15 phone and use whatever service provider you want.
The Sharp GX15 is a fairly basic cellular phone, in the sense that it is relatively old (by technology standards, as it was released in 2004) and comes with fairly basic features. However, it does have a camera that shoots both video and picture, Bluetooth capabilities and downloadable ringtones. Unlocking your Sharp GX15 will allow you to avoid long distance and roaming charges while making calls overseas. It will also allow you to use any service provider you like, by trading your SIM card for a pre-paid or foreign SIM card.
Instructions Settings > Security > MEP." Enter "0000" as the phone's code.
5. Press "Network > Deactivate" and press "Select."
6. Enter the unlock code given to you by your service provider. The message "Done" should appear on your screen, confirming that your phone has been unlocked.
7. Power down your phone and remove its SIM card. Replace it with your foreign or pre-paid SIM card, and you can now begin making calls on your new network.
