Dismantle A Nokia 6275i

The 6275i is a mobile phone from Nokia released in September 2007. It is the predecessor of the 6265 model, and features a 240 by 320 pixel screen, a 2.0 megapixel camera and runs on the Nokia Series 40 operating system. Dismantling your Nokia 6275i is useful for repairs and maintenance. However, doing this yourself will void the phone's service warranty.

Instructions

1. Turn off the phone, place the phone face down and remove the back cover. Lift the battery pack from its compartment, and set it aside. Slide the SIM card out of its metal slot inside the empty battery compartment.

2. Place the phone face up, and slide out the keypad. Insert a credit card into the gap along the outside edge of the LCD screen's front, plastic cover. Run the plastic cover along the outer edge of the cover until it is removed from the phone to reveal the LCD screen.

3. Use a thin flat-head screwdriver to disengage the clips securing the screen's small, metal frame to the phone. Remove the metal frame. Disconnect the tiny ribbon cable from the lower-left corner of the exposed LCD screen. Lift the screen out of the phone, and set it aside.

4. Slide the keypad closed, and place the phone face down. Remove the Torx screws from the back of the phone. Carefully remove the phone's back casing to reveal the main circuit board. Disconnect all visible Torx screws from the board, and disconnect the visible ribbon cables.

5. Lift the circuit board out of the phone slightly, and disconnect the tiny ribbon cables from the opposite side of the circuit board. Remove the circuit board from the phone.
