Unlock An Omnia 910

Unlocking a smartphone.

The Samsung Omnia I910 is a high-tech smartphone designed for use exclusively with the Verizon Wireless carrier. But if you own an Omnia and would like to switch to another carrier, you can do it by "unlocking" your phone. This unlocking process allows you to replace the SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card in your phone with that of another carrier. Even though this sounds like a highly involved and technical process, the reality is that unlocking your Omnia I910 is an easy procedure that won't take up much of your time.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Omnia I910 and enter #O6# on the main menu screen.

2. Write down the first 15 digits of the number that appears on the screen. This is your Omnia's IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number, and you will need to re-enter it during the unlock process. Now clear out of this screen and return to the main menu of your Omnia.

3. Type the 15-digit IMEI number into your phone's keypad and enter it into your Omnia. "Network lock deactivated" will now be displayed on the Omnia screen.

4. Wait for the Omnia to reboot. This process may take a few seconds. Be sure not to touch any buttons or keys while it is rebooting. Your Omnia will now be unlocked. To change service providers, all you need to do is replace the Verizon SIM card in your Omnia with one from your preferred service carrier.
