Transfer Contacts From Nokia To Mac

Transfer your contacts from a Nokia phone to a Mac computer.

Nokia phones transfer data from the device to Macintosh computers through the program iSync, which is preinstalled on Macs. Using the application, you can transfer your contacts and calendars from your phone to your computer and vice versa. Depending on the model of your phone, you may need to install a plug-in first to sync your data.

Instructions

1. Determine if your Nokia cell phone model requires a plug-in for iSync or if it is directly compatible. See "Resources" to select your model. If it tells you your device requires a plug-in, click the "Download" button. Install the plug-in on your computer.

2. Connect your Nokia phone to your computer using a USB cable or Bluetooth, whichever your prefer. Whichever way you choose is the default way to synchronize.

3. Launch iSync from the "Applications" folder on your computer.

4. Click "Sync Devices." Your computer automatically searches for devices. Your device should appear in the "Add Device" screen. Double-click your device to add it to iSync.

5. Select the check box on the next screen if you want to automatically sync when you connect your device.

6. Select which contacts you want to sync and any other data you want to sync between your phone and your computer.

7. Click "Sync Devices."
